COACHES

Cory & Tori Franz
Club Directors
Together, we have been blessed to coach girls athletics at the youth, select, and high school levels for the past 19 years. As the founders of Tosa Shock Girls Fastpitch Club (2013) and founders and Club Directors of East Troy Moxie Girls Fastpitch Club (2019), we've dedicated our coaching careers to helping young athletes grow not only as softball players, but as intelligent, confident, and capable young women. We believe softball is so much more than a game—it's a vehicle for teaching resilience, leadership, accountability, and the life skills that prepare athletes for success far beyond the field. We are so proud to lead a program that competes with passion, leads with character, and creates a player-driven culture where hard work, teamwork, and accountability define who we are.

Keisha Johnston
12U Head Coach
I am entering my fourth season coaching with East Troy Moxie Fastpitch, with a coaching philosophy centered around development, accountability, confidence, teamwork, mental game and fun. As a lifelong athlete who competed in soccer and swimming through high school and college, I understand the value of discipline, perseverance, competition, and being part of something bigger than yourself. I believe every player deserves to feel valued, challenged, and supported while being pushed to recognize and reach their full potential—without losing the love of the game along the way. My goal is to develop not only stronger softball players, but confident athletes, great teammates, and strong young people who believe in themselves both on and off the field.

Peyton Brazer
12U Assistant Coach
I’m excited to be coaching for my second year with Moxie! After playing softball for 15 years, I’m passionate about sharing my love for the game and helping the girls grow both on and off the field. I’m especially looking forward to developing their skills, building their confidence, and creating a positive environment where they can learn, compete, and have fun. I can’t wait for another great season!

Ali Van Henkelum
10U Head Coach
Former college softball player passionate about helping athletes grow both on and off the field. I focus on developing strong fundamentals, confidence, teamwork, and a positive competitive mindset. My goal is to use my playing experience to help each athlete reach their full potential while making the game fun and rewarding.

Patrick Huseonica
10U Assistant Coach
I have experience helping coach youth baseball teams from 7U through 12U, and I’m excited to bring that experience to 10U softball. My goal is to help players build strong fundamentals, confidence, teamwork, and—most importantly—a love for the game.

Katie Comfort
8U Head Coach
My name is Katie Comfort and I'm excited to be this year's Head Coach of the 8U team. I grew up playing a wide variety of sports, including basketball, volleyball, softball, and track and field. Since having children, I have stepped into the coaching world. Last year was my first season coaching with Moxie, and in addition, I serve as an assistant coach for the Jr. Trojans 3rd-grade girls basketball team and the 10U Jr. Indians girls lacrosse team. I am excited to help the 8U players develop their skills, confidence, teamwork, and love for the game this season!

Sean Mackenzie
8U Assistant Coach
The classic thought of playing catch in the yard with your kids—that’s where our softball journey started.
This will be my 2nd year helping out with the 8U team that my daughter joined last year, and I can honestly say it’s been such a rewarding experience.
One of my favorite parts has been watching these young players grow—not just in their skills, but in their confidence and love for the game. Even better is seeing the excitement and cheers from their teammates after a big play is made.
At this age, it’s not always about the win. It’s about the attitude, the effort, the teamwork, and learning to celebrate each other along the way.
Watching them grow together has been pretty special, and I’m excited to see what this season brings!

Rebecca Hyden
7U Head Coach
I’m Rebecca Hyden, and I’m excited to be coaching for Moxie! I have over 10 years of experience playing softball and have always loved the game. I’m new to East Troy and look forward to meeting new families and becoming part of the community. Outside of softball, I’m a proud mom of two daughters and wife to my husband, Ethan. I’m excited to share my love of softball and help the girls build their skills, confidence, and love for the game!

Dale Schneider
7U Assistant Coach
Second year assistant 7U softball coach focused on teaching the fundamentals of the game while making sure every player has fun. My goal is to build confidence, encourage teamwork, and help young athletes develop a love for softball that will last for years to come.

Sam Juliano
7U Assistant Coach
I am excited to join the 7U team as an assistant coach. As a parent and longtime supporter of youth sports, I understand the importance of creating a positive and encouraging environment where every player feels valued. I look forward to helping the girls build confidence, learn teamwork, develop their skills, and—most importantly—have fun throughout the season.
